Balmerol Protoquench Series Oils have been formulated from petroleum basestock having very good thermal and oxidation stability, high boiling points and low volatility. These oils are fortified with carefully selected additives to impart desired quenching rate. Balmerol Protoquench Series Oils conform to IS: 2664 (1980)

Gulf Quench series are normal speed quenching oils developed for heat treatment of ferrous metals in a wide variety of quenching operations. These oils are formulated from highly refined paraffinic oils to provide superior ageing stability. They possess good inherent thermal and oxidation stability offering long service life with minimal deposit formation. Their low volatility characteristics reduce oil loss from vaporisation and the uniform heat dissipation property minimises stress and metal distortion ensuring uniform hardness. These oils are available in two viscosity grades and are recommended for normal speed quenching of ferrous metals such as carbon steel, gray iron and alloy steels.

These quenching oils are blends of refined base oils and contain no additives. HP METAQUENCH 39 is recommended for general purpose quenching of components and is particularly suitable for quenching of cyanided parts. HP METAQUENCH 40 is suitable in situations when lower quenching speed is desired.
India ( West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Jharkhand, Bihar, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh), Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan
General purpose compounded quenching oil suitable for quenching of components for conditions when higher quenching speeds are required. This is a blend of highly refined petroleum base stocks with high quality fatty oils. The heat transfer characteristics of the petroleum base stocks are enhanced by the presence of the high quality fatty oil with its inherent wetting ability. Its quenching speed is higher as compared to Metaquench 39, and Metaquench 40. Metaquench 42 is recommended for general purpose quenching operations It is, however, not recommended for quenching of cyanided parts. Metaquench 42 meets the requirement of IS 2664 -1980 ( Re-affrmend in 1993 )Compounded Type Quenching Oil.

MAK Quenching Oil C is a superior quality quenching oil formulated exclusively from highly refined base stock and special additive. This oil is compounded with fatty oils. It offers longer bath life at elevated temperatures. The antioxidant additive provides excellent resistance to oxidation and break down of the oil and ensures longer operating life. The oil contains rust inhibitors, wetting agents that alter surface tensions and aid cooling during the vapor phase to achieve specific quenching characteristics. It has good wetting characteristics and has a higher cooling rate than the conventional quenching oils. The quenching oil allows uniform hardening of parts with improved grain structure and with minimum distortion. It provides consistent and repeatable mechanical and metallurgical properties.
